Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Solutions | UK Telecoms ...

Aug 17

helpThe Royal College of General Practitioners has invested in a new top of the range disaster recovery solution to improve it?s outdated IT infrastructure.

The college has virtualised its server environment to make it more resilient by implementing a NetApp storage and disaster recovery solution, and VMware software.

The new technologies are replacing ageing physical servers which take a long time to process such as tape backups.

Over an eight-week period, last year the college implemented the revamp that included the installation of a network in the data centre and migration of the entire estate from physical to virtual.

This new disaster recovery system has also helped consolidate over 40 servers to just six highly partitioned systems, streamlining their systems greatly.

The new storage core has also enabled better business continuity with two data centres being set up and constantly refreshed.

So if you want to improve you business continuity and ensure you have the best disaster recovery procedures in place check out Elite Telecom and know that you?re business will stand strong should disaster strike.
