Supervisor Leadership Program - Sales Management Training ...

Job Duties & Responsibilities This career track is well suited for finance, accounting, economics, marketing, risk management, management, and general business majors. To be eligible for the Supervisor Leadership Program you must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.20 in your undergraduate studies. A college degree is required for this program.

GEICO offers you the chance to launch your career in our selective Supervisor Leadership Program. In this program, you'll gain a comprehensive understanding of one of our major insurance operations: Sales, Customer Service, Claims or Auto Damage. (Selection into a particular track is determined by your interests and the business needs of the location.)

Length of the program varies by track; the Sales and Service tracks are approximately 15 - 18 months, while the Claims and Auto Damage tracks are approximately 2 - 2.5 years due to additional classes and rotations needed to become fully trained. Each track provides you with an excellent opportunity to learn about the dynamic insurance industry and accelerate to a supervisor position.

GEICO believes that in order for you to be an effective team supervisor within our call center environment, you must first understand the intricacies of our insurance business and the job function you'll one day manage. Therefore, after completing our extensive classroom training and passing any necessary insurance exams, you'll have the good fortune to experience the sales, customer service, claims or auto damage adjuster position firsthand.

During this time, you'll receive mentoring from a senior-level manager and work on projects that are critical to the department's success. As you progress through your training, you will serve as a mentor, and assist in the training and coaching of new associates. Toward the latter part of your program, you will attend on-site supervisory preparation classes.

Candidate Qualifications GEICO seeks bright, motivated graduates to join our fast-track Supervisor Leadership Program - Sales track. In this entry level management training program, you'll spend 12 to 18 months learning about our sales operations from the ground up. Our Supervisor Leadership Program (SLP) provides an excellent opportunity to experience our dynamic industry and accelerate to a Sales Supervisor position. In order to one day lead a Sales team, you will first:

* Attend on-site training, pass necessary insurance exams, and get your professional license
* Drive our company growth by selling our exceptional products and gain hands-on experience
* Receive mentoring from management
* Work to meet goals, achieve top results, and demonstrate your leadership potential
* Work on projects that are critical to the Sales department's success
* Coach associates, and assist in their training and development
* Attend supervisory preparation classes toward the end of your program

Our goal is to prepare you to effectively supervise a Sales team! SLP participants advance through the program based upon performance. Associates who started in this program have been promoted to supervisors, trainers and managers.

Candidate Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in business, or a degree and at least four completed core business courses (Accounting I & II, Finance, Statistics, Marketing, Business Law, Macro/Micro Economics or Information Systems)
* At least a 3.2 cumulative undergraduate GPA
* Demonstrated leadership experience on campus, within the community and/or at work
* Very good computer, analytical and problem-solving skills
* Effective written and verbal communication
* Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities
* High level of dependability
* Willingness to start at the entry level and learn our business from the ground-up
* Desire and ability to one day lead a team
* U.S. work authorization required. Sponsorship is not available for this program.

Important Position Details The GEICO Supervisor Leadership Program requires a Bachelor's degree in a business-related field. Candidates with a non-business degree who have taken at least four core business courses (finance, accounting I and II, macro / micro economics, marketing, business law, statistics and/or information systems) will also be considered.

This entry level program requires applicants to have at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA in your undergraduate studies, as well as demonstrated leadership experience on campus, within the community and/or at work.
