Steve Sipek
Steven Sipek of Loxahatchee loves his tigers and leopards, but they bring him no end of trouble. On Monday he found himself briefly jailed and his three big cats seized, the latest in a long series of disputes with state and federal wildlife authorities.?
It turns out Sipek, known during his acting career as the ?Spanish Tarzan,? had had a federal permit revoked that allowed him to keep the cats. State officials cited numerous ?caging deficiencies? and pointed to a history of animal escapes and bites. A state wildlife official said Sipek ?lived among them and they lived among him.??
Sipek, who attracted international media attention in 2004 when his pet tiger ?Bobo? escaped and was shot dead by a state wildlife officer, says he worries for his cats and will fight in court to get them back.?
